Flood and Coastal Erosion Risk Management Strategy
Invitation to consultation workshops, May & June 2019
You are invited to a half day workshop hosted by the Environment Agency to help you prepare your consultation response to the Flood and Coastal Erosion Risk Management Strategy for England.
The eight-week consultation period will start in early May 2019. It is the culmination of a huge amount of work produced through the collaboration of a wide range of different organisations and people, working together to develop an ambitious vision for managing flooding and coastal change. Further information about the developing strategy can be found at https://consult.environment-agency.gov.uk/fcrm/fcerm-national-strategy-info/
The workshops are open to anyone who has an interest in responding to the consultation.
These workshops are being held in four different locations to give you the chance to attend one at your preferred location or the date that suits you best.
The overall aim of the workshops is to help you understand and consider the consultation so that you are better prepared to be able to respond to it by the deadline. The workshops will:
– Explain what the consultation is about
– Invite initial views on the consultation
– Describe the support available to help you discuss the consultation with your colleagues and networks after the workshop in order to respond to the consultation
– Explain how and when the final strategy will be produced
